ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are a grouping of various extremely sensitive camera, radar, and ultrasound components designed to enhance vehicle safety by alerting you to potential hazards or unsafe driving conditions. Some sensors stop the vehicle without action from you or keep the vehicle from lane encroachment - all to reduce accidents, injuries and fatalities. Contact us for a FREE quote today.
Why Recalibrate?
All sensors are precisely set during factory installation of the windshield and the settings must be maintained to ensure proper function and vehicle driving safety.
Any disturbance such as an accident or windshield replacement can cause the sensor(s) to function improperly or not at all. A sensor that is out of alignment by a small fraction of an inch at the windshield point can be off by 50 feet or more at the focal point(s) down the road, rendering the system ineffective. Glass manufacturers, as well as most insurance companies require ADAS calibration after windshield installation.
What is the Process?
Calibrating ADAS sensors is a precision process that is frequently complex and time consuming. It requires sophisticated computer diagnostics, laser alignment components, specialized radar targets and a master technician, trained and licensed to perform the procedure.
Calibration is specific to each make and model of vehicle and sensor(s) involved. Auto Glass Nation has invested in the equipment and training to ensure your windshield sensor(s) are calibrated correctly for your driving safety. We are licensed to do window calibrations.
ADAS’S automated systems are proven to reduce road injuries and fatalities. For you and your passengers' safety, please authorize recalibration with Auto Glass Nation.
